high in the southern Selkirk Mountains over 1000 meters above sea level this park offers a solitude unmatched
in the West Kootenays. Walk the trails, view the wildlife or enjoy the lakes (non-motorized craft only). The fishing is excellent, too. With two, day use,
beach areas, one with a playground located at the third, of the three, Champion Lakes, there is plenty
to make your stay here an enjoyable experience. Over 6
km of trail connects the three Champion Lakes. There is also a trail to a lookout which gives a panoramic view of the area The village of Fruitvale is nearby to supply you for your stay. Not far from the main access road to the park is Champion Lakes Golf and Country Club. With something for everyone.
