Paid Employment Opportunities
Each year, we have a variety of paid employment opportunities within West Kootenay Park Management Inc. These positions are:
Park Managers and Assistant Managers who are responsible for the overall operation of these parks.
Visitor Service Attendants who provide parks visitors with information and provide park services, sales of park use permits and firewood, and provide park security and law enforcement.
Maintenance Attendants perform a wide range of tasks including grounds keeping, campsite and washroom cleaning, painting and light carpentry.
Security Attendants provide evening security patrols within the park and ensure public safety.
Visitor Program Attendants who provide educational and interpretive programming to park visitors.

Volunteer Park Host Opportunities
In most of our park campgrounds, we have volunteer opportunities for people interested in being Park
Hosts. A Park Host is a non-paid position that requires the individual to provide visitor service information and other related duties to park visitors. In exchange for volunteer hours, the individual is given free camping usually on a serviced campsite within the park. A minimum one month commitment is required.
The Host is required to provide four hours of volunteer service per day, five
consecutive days per week. They must overnight in the park during those
days. The Host is required to provide their own accommodation for their
overnight stays.
