1. Revelstoke Within a short drive from Revelstoke, many beautiful beaches can be found along the shores of Lake Revelstoke, Upper Arrow Lake and Blanket Swimming Lagoon. Opportunities for white water rafting down the Illecillewaet River and sea kayaking on Lake Revelstoke, Arrow Lake and Williams Lake are available from the following companies: Nearby Provincial Park Campgrounds: 2. Nakusp/New Denver The Nakusp/New Denver area also has many beautiful beaches. McDonald Creek Provincial Park has an 800 meter long sandy beach. Across the road from Rosebery Provincial Park, one can find a secluded pebbly beach on Slocan Lake, and a black gravel beach in the village of New Denver.
